In compliance with the memorandum of the DILG dated May 19, 2026, the Municipality of Hagonoy, Davao del Sur proudly joins the nation in commemorating the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial 2026 with the theme “Light the Legacy: Remember · Advance · Act.”

This solemn gathering, to be held on May 21, 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Skydome, San Lazaro Hospital, honors the lives lost to HIV and AIDS, celebrates the progress achieved in prevention and treatment, and renews our collective commitment to act with compassion and solidarity.

In partnership with the Names Project Philippines AIDS Memorial Quilt and other dedicated organizations, Hagonoy stands united in “Keeping the Light Alive”—ensuring that remembrance continues to inspire advocacy and action for a healthier, more inclusive future.
