In response to the growing transportation concerns of commuters traveling between Hagonoy and Digos City, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has acted on the request of Mayor Jesus S. Dureza, Jr. I to provide immediate relief.

LTFRB Region XI has issued a Special Permit for two (2) Modernized Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJs) to operate along the following route:
Lapulabao Public Market – Barangay Sinayawan – Barangay San Isidro – Barangay Leling – Digos City Business Center, and vice versa.

This intervention serves as a temporary solution, as LTFRB XI emphasized that the permit is provisional. Discussions are ongoing to develop long-term alternatives for tricycle operators and drivers affected by the strict implementation of DILG Memorandum Circular 195-2023, which prohibits motorized tricycles and pedicabs from operating along national highways.

The PUJs will run on the designated route during the following hours:
6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Passenger boarding will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The public is encouraged to exercise patience and cooperation to ensure smooth operations.

Residents are advised to adhere to the published schedule and remain informed of further updates from the Municipal Mayor’s Office.
