Suspension of Government Work on September 28, 2026

The Office of the President, through Memorandum Circular No. 136, has declared the suspension of work in all government agencies, government-owned or -controlled corporations, and state universities and colleges nationwide on September 28, 2026 (Monday), starting at 1:00 PM.

This directive is in observance of the 34th National Family Week and the celebration of “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” Day, underscoring the importance of strengthening Filipino family ties.

Agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and essential services—such as health, disaster response, and other vital operations—shall continue their regular operations to ensure uninterrupted public service.

Government workers, other branches of government, and the private sector are encouraged to participate in the activities of Family Week, allowing Filipino families to spend meaningful time together.
